Business Plan and License Under MiCar – Templates Alone are Not Enough

MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) will come into force at the end of 2024.

There is an obligation to apply for the related license. And one of the essential parts of this package of documents is the business plan.

The Bank of Lithuania, which is taking over the supervision of the crypto sector, also emphasizes the importance of a business plan when communicating about the mistakes of traditional license applicants.

But (!!!) not all players in the crypto sector take active preparatory steps. A poorly prepared business plan poses the risk of losing the opportunity to obtain a legal basis for the planned activity.

How to avoid it? What action to take? Publication by Ignas Aničas, Associate Partner, NOEWE Management Consulting services
