Purpose of the Digital Nomad Visa

The primary goal of this initiative is to position Cyprus as a leading hub for digital services and innovation, while also:

Who can apply?

The scheme is open to non-EU and non-EEA nationals who meet the following criteria:

• Work remotely using technology for a foreign-registered company or as a self-employed professional serving clients abroad.
• Have a stable monthly income of at least €3,500 after tax deductions.

Benefits of the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa

• Legal residence in Cyprus for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to two additional years.
• Family members, including spouses, civil partners, and underage children, can reside in Cyprus for the same duration (though they are not permitted to work locally).
• Tax benefits: Nomads residing in Cyprus for at least 183 days per year can be considered tax residents of Cyprus, provided they are not tax residents of any other country.

Visa duration & renewal

• The initial residence permit is valid for one year.
• Renewals are granted for up to two additional years.
• Renewal applications should be submitted at least one month before expiration.
